The Piece Hall, Halifax, has been granted £7 million by the National Lottery to redevelop the Grade 1 listed building.
For the small businesses inside, the news is phenomenal after months of speculation that the building was to colse and be sold, due to lack of trade.
As you can see from the artists impression, the entire building would be refreshed as well as fountains added.
The revamped Piece Hall could also include a visitor and heritage centre, shops, restaurants, workspaces for creative businesses and a conference venue. It would also continue to be a live entertainment venue to the likes of Off The Wall (Pink Floyd Tribute) who chose the Piece Hall year after year.
