Tronstad had a trial at Huddersfield in late 2013, where he is said to have impressed manager Mark Robins.
His former club, IK Start, were asking for a £2 million compensation package for the "youth training programme" which the talented youngster underwent after returning from a trial at Manchester United.
Neither a fee or the move itself have been confirmed by Huddersfield, however in the tweet (which has now been removed) from Marius Tronstad, he said: "Very proud of my little brother who now travels to England after Huddersfield and Start agree."

Speaking about his move Sondre told Sky Sports: "I have got an exciting time ahead of me and I look forward to getting started. Huddersfield is a good club."Sondre knows it will take hard work but has high expectations for the club: "The goal is to make my debut for the first team. I am prepared that it will be very tough. But the chances are also big. I need to focus on what I do and work hard every day."
The youngster is a die-hard Liverpool fan and has 1 goal from 9 appearance in the Norwegian Tippeligaen for IK Start. He has also represented Norway at Under-16 and Under-18 level.
